How the Senses Construct the Scientific Mind
Join us for our Parent Education Series Thursday, March 5th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm
Learn how the experimentation a child does using the Montessori Sensorial materials maps the development of the scientific mind. The Sensorial materials introduce one sense at a time and, as the child refines their awareness and use of a sense, the materials become more complex, needing more senses to complete a task. This begins to build their critical thinking skills curiosity, and use of a hypothesis that will later aid them in using their scientific mind. Children gain the confidence to seek the answers to the questions "why, when, how, and what" when using the Montessori science, geography, and history materials.
